Our Team

Caitlin Kolb, Owner (she/her)

Caitlin Kolb is the founder and owner of Pilates Done Differently (formerly Studio 20). She specializes in post-rehab care and is known citywide for her unique approach to Pilates and the results she can achieve. Driven by her passion to help people feel at home in their bodies and more fulfilled in their lives, her teaching is trauma-informed, comforting, and intuitive. With more patience, care, and generosity, she knows Pilates can be much more than what it is used for traditionally.

Her ability to read bodies and artfully move her clients through pain-free sequencing comes not only from her Body Arts and Sciences International Pilates certification (BASI), but also from years as a professional dancer with Robert Moses’ Kin; her mentorship with physical therapist and Stott Pilates Lead Instructor Trainer, Melissa Condron; and her education as a fitness trainer. Fifteen years of teaching as well as a lifetime obsession with learning and movement have also added to Caitlin’s expertise.

In 2016, Caitlin opened Pilates Done Differently™ to create a space where people can move, feel safe, be held, and free themselves from distractions and the pressures of performance. Now she has her sights set on increasing accessibility to the therapeutic movement industry and is building a non-profit to serve that cause.

Tingzin Ellis (she/her)

For the past 25 years Pilates has been a constant practice in Tingzin’s life, helping her to relieve anxiety and heal from 2 spinal injuries and a TBI. Her first breakthrough was understanding how to breathe correctly. Learning this skill liberated her from her patterns of pain. This is just one of the many insights that informs her work with clients, helping to empower them through discussion, collaboration, and practice. She finds joy in holding space for her clients to explore and become more present and connected to their bodies. Understanding the human body is a curiosity that drives her endless study of anatomy, biomechanics and neuromechanics.

Tingzin was certified in the Pilates Method through Balanced Body University in 2008 and completed her CoreAlign training in 2019. She has special training in the field of Foot and Gait Therapy and with working with the older adult population.
